We started out just drawing the prints on paper. The original pictures were the size of a sheet of paper but we had to key in on a section of it to use on the print. We then transfered the prints to the linoleum and carved them out. We used ink and a brayer to roll out the prints on colored paper. I think the most challenging part of this process was carving the design into the linoleum. It was hard to figure out what would be printed and what would not. I learned that neatness is key and to think everything out before you do it.

I really enjoyed this process. It was nice to get away from the usual drawing and painting. We began by taking a picture and putting it in photoshop. We used an effect to seperate the colors. We then put the pictures on a projector and traced the image on to poster paper. We cut out each color as a stencil and spray painted it on to cardboard. The hardest part of this project was figuring out what to cut. It was hard to decide which parts to cut out and not to cut out. As you can see I messed up the eyes and the hairline because I made a mistake when cutting out the black stencill. I really enjoyed this project.

Drawing on the Ipad was very similar to drawing on paper. You follow the same basic structure for drawing the shapes. For instance, on paper, you would draw the square the same way you would draw it on the Ipad. You would shade it the same way too. It was also very different to draw on the Ipad. Blending the colors was much easier on the Ipad, because of the blend tool. It was also easier to shade from light to dark because you wouldn't have to worry about the pressure of the pencil. You could just change the color automatically.

This drawing of my Van was improved after learning about the contour line drawing. I paid much more attention to detail, due to the fact that I could not lift up my pen. I also focused more on the position of the shoe, rather than use stored symbols of what the shoe looks like.

I chose to draw "Mojojojo" from "The Powerpuff Girls". This drawing displays most of a full set of bones. As you can see the skull is covering majority of the neck and shoulders. I chose to add a little bit of a creepy aspect to Mojojojo because he is a villian and when I see a skeleton I usually think of creepy. I exaggerated his cheekbones to make him look angry. I also added a crack in his skull because the part of the skull above the eyes was bare.
